Weekend Updates 12.15.12.

Quick update pics of what's happening around the parks. At Disney . RFID scanners replace some of the turnstiles in front entrance to Disney parks. Last Friday, a camera crew was in action filming pre-selected families to try the new system. Currently, only resort guests with key to the world cards are able to use the scanners. All the scanners are on the far right of the entrances to the parks.

Some of the shops, and quick service dinning areas around WDW also have the new RFID scanners in place.

At Epcot, Character Spot is currently getting a make-over and will re-open early next year. You can still meet the characters in a room in the same building or outside.

The new refreshment stand just outside Electric umbrella was done a few weeks ago. It has been covered again with a construction wall.
Purchasing something at Disney? Check your receipts, you might find a 20% off coupon for merch at select stores.
