Summer Nights 2012 at SeaWorld Orlando

Summer Nights at SeaWorld now through Aug 12th. A cloudy first day for Summer nights at SeaWorld. Entertainment around the park including some characters that we only see in the morning. Night-time shows: Shamu Rocks, Sealions Tonite, and Reflections fireworks.

Shivers the polar bear inside Wild Arctic

Elmo and Friends out for photo op.

Full show SeaLions tonite:

Finale of Sealions tonite. Clyde, Seamore and Winston Walrus shake and dance to LMFAO's popular hit song.

Shamu Rocks Summer Nights 2012. The almost full Shamu Rocks show. At one point before the show the waiting crowd did the wave for a couple of mins.  Gotta love peoples reactions as they see themselves on the big screen during the pre-show.
 Video Shamu Rocks show:

Before the fireworks show a DJ had the crowd dancing. Also a performance by Dragon Legends Acrobats. The back Bayside stadium pathway was opened at 6pm. Nothing really happening in that area.

The fireworks show was the same from last year. Just a few different colors and the way some of the fireworks were launced are new. Did not hear music from the new turtle trek until the end of the show.
Other than that a great night. Glad we went yesterday as it looks like it will rain for the next couple of days.

SeaWorld Update 6.23.12.

The Underwater viewing area still has not changed since last visit. Whales are able to swim in the pool after the show. The tables and chairs which was all stacked in one side earlier in the week have now been spread out around the DWS area.

Did not see Tilikum out for the 2 One Ocean show and the Shamu Rocks show we watched for the debut of Summer Nights. The whales did a lot more splashing though.

Makaio came up to the slide out during one of the One Ocean shows. Not sure if it was his first time, the trainers got really excited when he did which happened when the 2 whales are about to kiss (side by side). Kiss did not happen because he was in the center of the 2 whales. Took him a little longer to get himself down. Did not get to get a picture... We were in the sides but im sure its on youtube somewhere.

New souvenir popcorn buckets available for sale at Shamu Stadium. They are $10 and believe is a 99 cents refill.

Have food allergies? SeaWorld has got you covered. Allergy friendly eateries around the park are now labeled on the park map.

Construction update for the new Antarctica attraction: New steel beams are now being placed next to the old penguin encounter structure. A few days ago a crane joined the construction site.

About a week ago several sealions were born, Here is one of them snuggling up with its mom? or dad.
What are you doing up there mommy? (Dolphin Nursery)

There are 2 large turtles in this picture can you spot them?
Other Videos:
Polar bear On the move. Not seen the polar bear move around till yesterday. Short video of it relocating to another spot just a few feet away to rest some more.

SeaWorld Update Turtle Trek walls down / UW viewing update 4.24.12.

A couple of pics of the New Turtle Trek attraction at SeaWorld Orlando. The walls have now been taken down. Team members were able to preview the area Monday and Tuesday. The President of SW (green shirt) was there filming something at the front of the attraction today.. Turtle Trek officially opens this Friday!

As mentioned in previous post, the turtles near manta (turtle point) have now been moved to the new  Turtle Trek area. Pelicans stayed... We will call it Pelican Point.

Finally, A couple of pics of UV / DWS area. Tank is filled with water, floor up, divers down.

Been asked where you can meet the Shamu character.... At the front of the park and usually only in the mornings.
When SW only has 3 OneOcean shows the pathways to Shamu Stadium become I-4... bumper to bumper traffic. First show of the day.

In a separate tank nearby will be the manatees.  TurtleTrek will open April 27.
