This year, a few... well, a couple major announcements from Central Florida theme parks... in case you missed it.
Universal announces that The WWoHP will be expanded here in Orlando, and will also be building a sister world at Universal Studios Hollywood. No other details were shared other than more will come over time. The Wizarding World is a huge attendance booster for Universal since it opened last year.
Disney announced in September it will add a land based on the Avatar film in it's Animal Kingdom Park for 2016. Disney said it's team is still designing the original plans, and that construction should begin next year.
The new Fantasyland set to open in phases at the Magic Kingdom, with the first phase set to open sometime next year.
SeaWorld also announced last month the new "TurtleTrek" a 360 degree movie with turtles and manatees set to open in spring 2012 and an Antarctica themed attraction set for 2013. Additionally, SeaWorld also announced a "Freshwater Oasis" environment for Discovery Cove for next year.
And with LegoLand just opening up, it also announces to expand with a water park set to open summer of 2012
....many new things to look forward to the next couple of years....
