Who's ready to go to Antarctica?!

Next week, Seaworld's Antarctica : Empire of the Penguin will officially open. The old Penguin encounter was closed January 2012, the penguins were moved to a temporary backstage home which was included in the backstage tours while their new home was being re-done. The new attraction will re-open May 24th it will transport guests to the bottom of the world, the South Pole - to explore the icy world.  The last few days team members and other special invited guest have been previewing the attraction and been hearing some really good things about Antarctica. There will be 4 kinds of penguin inside the attraction.

According to a team member the new Antarctica attraction will:

Have a 4 ft glass that separates you from the penguin.  

The ride has 2 versions one will be 

milder than the other and can be different each visit

The whole area will make u feel like u are in Antarctica 

You may choose not to ride and just view the penguins, But, everyone must queue to get in the attraction. (once in, you may stay as long as you want temp inside the exhibit is 30 degrees)

Universal Announces Harry Potter Expansion

A few days ago, Universal announced details for the Harry Potter expansion that will take over what used to be the Jaws/Amity area at Universal. Jaws was removed in Jan of 2012 to make room for new exciting things.  The new area at Universal Studios will feature scenes from Diagon Alley and London from the Harry Potter series.

Limited Time Magic. Weeklong Fiesta.

This week meet the Three Caballeros - Panchito, Jose Carioca, and Donald Duck as part of this weeks Limited Time Magic weeklong Fiesta. Check them out near the wheelchair ramp at the Mexico pavilion continuously from 11:30am -6:45 now through May 11th. While there, you can also enjoy a variety of performances from folkloric dancing to the sounds of Mariachi Cobre. ( check parks times guide ).

Transformers Opening Date set

Today, Universal Orlando released an opening date for the new 3D ride at Universal Studios. The new ride will be similar to the SpiderMan attraction next door at IOA. It's been almost a year since they started on this project, located in the middle of the park; crews worked day and night to complete the ride for a summer opening.The attraction will officially open June 20th!

For a weeks now, Transformer characters (Bumblebee , Optimus Prime and Megatron) meet with guest near the supply vault daily. Ads for the new ride have been popping up around Orlando a few weeks back, and yesterday this display on the side of the building in downtown Orlando facing I-4 urging humans to prepare for battle.


-Warning signs in-front of the attraction:
This ride takes place on a high speed vehicle that will suddenly and dramatically accelerate, stop, spin climb and drop.
The movement in the vehicle includes strong tilting and jarring actions.
-Height requirements is 40"
