Disney update 8.29.12 Halloween decorations

 

• 2 more weeks till the first MNSSHP... The last few nights, Disney has been busy transforming the park for Halloween. 

• MNSSHP begins on  Sept 11th. The event is only on select nights and is a separate ticketed event.

• In addition to many favorite Disney attractions, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is filled with special entertainment, including:
  
• Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade—including Disney Characters and the stars of the Haunted Mansion attraction. The parade begins with a spook-tacular ride by the Headless Horseman.
• Happy HalloWishes—a spectacular fireworks show where the Disney Villains go trick-or-treating in the sky.
• Many favorite Disney Characters and Disney Villains in special Halloween costumes.
• Special lighting, music and theming effects transforms special areas of Magic Kingdom theme park into happy haunted hollows.

• At Hollywood Studios, Christmas lights are starting to go up over at Streets of America for this year Osborne Spectacle of lights.  The lights turn on Nov 9th

Disney pic update 4.13.12.

This weekend is the last time you can experience Test Track before it closes to be updated this Monday. It will be closed for several months. If you cant come to the parks, I got you covered. Everyone pull on that yellow strap make sure your seat belt is securely fastened.

Also, just about a month left to see Epcot in full bloom as the Flower and Garden Festival ends May 20th.

-One of the cast members I asked does not expect the Habit Heroes attraction to re-open anytime soon.

Meanwhile, who's ready for  Big Thunder Mountain Ralroad to re-open? According to the Disney website it is still scheduled to re-open May 27th... From today's photos it looks like they are working on the queue area.

Moving on to the New Fantasyland area. Just a few pics on Casey Jr splash "N" soak area.. Most of the lights are up, don't see anything that could splash or soak behind the walls yet.

Someone asked if they re-themed the water tower for the train station when it opened a few weeks ago. Not until just recently...

 Disney also released a time lapse video of the Fantasyland area.

At Disney's Animal kingdom a few entertainment was added for the busy holiday week. A street party in  Africa and also a DJ Dance Party in Asia.

Finally, new sand art display at the front of AK simillar to the one at Epcot.

Universal Orlando Update 3.30.12.

Universal's Islands of Adventure very crowded today as one of the busiest times for the parks approach. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter area of the park was packed with large spring break crowds... The wait time for the popular Forbidden Journey attraction had reached 2 hours just in a couple hours of the park being open. Barricades are in place near the 2 ways you can enter the WWoHP area to prevent more guest from entering if it reaches capacity.

At Universal Studios, a little less crowded. Update pics of the Despicable me attraction opening in the summer. A new sign on the construction wall has been placed and roofing is starting to go on.

Universal getting ready for their all new lagoon show coming soon. Smaller fountain nozzles are in and new lights in place in the lagoon. Noticed the color of the water has changed too. Crews were also busy painting the railings and fences near the lagoon

Universal shooting a commercial with Sponge Bob and a hand full of kids near the lagoon. Looks like they taping a commercial for the new parade for this spring.

A lot of guest feel lost when they walk through what used to be Amity with grey walls on either side. No worries. Universal has  these entertainers who look like tourist with bright Hawaiian shirts to help guide you to the right direction.

Finally, The Jaws photo op has now been removed from where it stood in Amity to across the Disaster attraction near the lagoon. Perfect spot for it, with all the boats in the background.
